A serpentfolk skilled in both sword and sorcery, Saori is one of the Cult’s deadliest warriors. Her place is often spent as an enforcer in the frontlines, one who bends dissidents to the cult’s will, or promptly executes them if they can be of no use. Her life has been spent entirely in the cult since a hatchling, and no shred of humanity or empathy was ever nurtured in her, resulting in a truly warped individual whose only concerns are herself and the cult that raised her.

Saori is a cold reflection of the Cult of the Coiled Serpent, a being shaped entirely by its doctrine from the moment she hatched. Born into the cult’s serpentine embrace, Saori never knew the warmth of family or community outside its coiled grip. Her formative years were marked by strict training in both the sword and arcane arts, her talents nurtured with the same venomous precision that defined the cult’s teachings. Deceit, manipulation, and ruthlessness became her creed, and she quickly earned a reputation as one of the cult's deadliest warriors.

Saori never questioned the cult’s purpose. It was not loyalty that bound her, but a deep apathy toward anything outside herself and the dark path she walked. She excelled at bending dissidents to the cult’s will, using both her sword and magic to subdue or eliminate any who dared resist. Those who proved unworthy of conversion met swift ends at the edge of her blade or through the slow, torturous effects of her spells and poisons; Saori's spells were as deadly as her blade, weaving enchantments laced with venom that could cripple or kill with a single word.

Her snake-like qualities run deeper than her magic or battle prowess. In her demeanour, she is cold, calculating, and unfeeling. Empathy is a foreign concept to her, and she views emotions as weaknesses that others fall prey to. Saori takes no pleasure in cruelty, nor does she shy away from it: it is simply a means to an end, a tool to enforce the will of the cult. She is indifferent to the suffering she causes, concerned only with her own survival and the furthering of the cult’s goals. Though she fights on the frontlines, Saori is no mere soldier. Her role within the cult is that of an enforcer and assassin, dispatched to deal with the most resistant or dangerous enemies. She is often sent into battle with the sole purpose of breaking the spirit of opposition, her presence a harbinger of death for those who defy the Serpent. Despite her position, Saori holds little regard for those she fights alongside. Her only loyalty lies with the heart of the cult: Lian She, the serpent mother. Those by her side are merely pawns, such as her, but in her heart she knows she will do anything to be the best of them.

For Saori, there is no life beyond the cult. She cannot imagine a world where she exists outside its influence, nor does she wish to. Her identity is so entwined with the Serpent that she would sooner face death than live as anything else. Cold-hearted, merciless, and entirely devoid of compassion.
