A security measure installed within the depths of the Crescent Casino’s vault. Much like its cubical cousin, the Gelatinous Sphere is a deadly trap for unprepared adventurers. Though unlike its cousin it is able to move with speeds that make it an even deadlier foe, and should one encounter it on a downward slope they will find their demise to come quickly.
An exquisite specimen of the Gelatinous Shape family, the Gelatinous Sphere was commissioned by Skilet as a security measure some five decades past. Though the toil and mental hardship was great on the scholars and researchers of the University of Ardris who worked on it, after almost two decades they were able to perfect the spherical form of the creature without it collapsing under its own weight.
With the spherical form, they found it able to become an incredibly deadly threat to any would-be intruders in his vaults and secure locations, with the creature able to move at a blistering speed twice as quick as its cuboid cousin. Similarly, if moving downhill it was able to descend even quicker still, though challenges were posed by it moving uphill after, it was still able to do so though at a dreadfully slow rate.
Regardless, the experiments were deemed a success and Skilet now has the creatures held wherever he deems fit, with about two dozen in total across the Cartel’s various locations in Tharador. Their speed makes them a deadly opponent, and woe to anyone who might become trapped by them.
